Announcement: I'm looking to add pictures of individual State Champions to each team's respective state pages.  Something to jazz up the pages a little bit.  Doesn't have to be anything fancy, just a little something simple like I did on Ocean's page (HERE). It can be an action shot, a celebration shot, a podium shot, a school picture, or even a shot of mom, dad, champion, and the uncle nobody talks to anymore...  whatever.  It's your guys site, I'm just typing.  If you have something, just email me at DESPO424@optonline.net

Update - 7/2: I would just like to take an opportunity to congratulate former Pt. Pleasant Boro head coach Kyle Franey on being named the new head coach at Bound Brook high school.  Coach Franey, who has strong roots to the area, will also be serving as the school's Vice Principal.

Congratulations and best of luck Coach, and thank you for all the help with the site over the last two seasons.

Moving on... The NJSIAA has once again realigned the State Sectional Classifications in wrestling for the upcoming 2008-2009 Season.  The most interesting of all the switches affecting the Shore is in South Jersey Group 4, where someone with an evil sense of humor has put together a flat out Super Section with Jackson Memorial being moved back into SJ Group 4 from Central Jersey.

SJG4 will now feature Jackson Memorial, Southern Regional, Eastern, TR North, TR East, and Absegami among others.  And yes, that it four of the Top 10 teams in the State from last year's rankings in the same section. OUCH!

In Central Jersey, the most notable move was Delaware Valley moving up to NJ 2 Group 2, while Cinnaminson moves in from SJ to Central Jersey Group 2.

Update - 7/1:
As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, I  was planning on putting a poll up where you guys could vote for a Shore Conference All-90's team by weight class.  Just figure it will be a little way to kill some time and give everyone a little something to discuss.

First things first, it's tough narrowing guys down to certain weights so what I chose to do was single out just a specific weight class for a wrestler where he either spent most of his high school career, or where he was at his most dominant.  So, for example, when 160 comes up and you don't see Glenn Pritzlaff's name there, rest assured he'll be in the 171 group (and that doesn't really bode well for the rest of the 171's).
However, there are a couple of cases where this was almost impossible to do.  I call it the "Mark Worthy Rule".  Worthy will be on the board at 112, but I also have him down at 140 AND 145.  If he gets the most votes at 112, he comes off the board and makes the lives of the remaining 140 and 145 pounders that much easier. So keep that in mind when the 112's come up.

Hey, it's not an exact science... Just a time killer!

Starting it off at 103... I thought there were several names I could put up to make a pretty nice list, but when it came down to it I decided at leaving it between the Shore's two State Champs and a two-time State placer at this weight.

Indra Sulijoadikusumo - Manalapan
1992 Season:
28-0 / NJSIAA Champion (defeated Justin Hearst - Lenape) / Region 6 Champ / District 21 Champ

Brett Taylor - Toms River East

1997 Season: 30-2 / 5th Place NJSIAA / Region 6 Champ / District 24 Champ
Overall: 2-Time State Medal Winner (3rd, 5/6) / 1-Time Region 6 Champ / 3-Time District Champ

Terrance Clendenin - Toms River North
1998 Season: 31-6 / 7th-8th Place NJSIAA / 2nd Place Region 6 / 2nd Place District 24
1999 Season:
33-0 / NJSIAA Champion (defeated Bob Stinson - Camden Catholic, 3-2) / Region 6 Champ / District 24 Champ
